LAND of HOPE & GLORY

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, and while many special celebrations are planned, few will resonate with our senior citizens quite like the spectacular matinee show Land of Hope and Glory from Neil Sands Productions. For nearly two decades, Neil Sands Productions has been captivating audiences with their nostalgic performances, earning them the title of “The Masters of Matinee Nostalgia.” 

Land of Hope and Glory has been specially produced to commemorate this milestone event and will be performed at The Cresset. This unforgettable afternoon of patriotic music will take audiences on a trip through time, featuring over 60 beloved songs that highlight the best of British entertainment. From the rocking 1950s and swinging 1960s to timeless show tunes, enjoy an old-fashioned knees-up with a Pearly King and Queen, sing along to a rousing selection from the Last Night of The Proms, and join in a spirited VE Day celebration with a flag-waving finale. The performance culminates in a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women of the armed forces, with songs that inspired a nation during the war. 

Joining Neil for this very special afternoon are two incredibly talented young vocalists, Babette Smith and Sophie Pinsent, both of whom have graced the West End stage. Backed by the talented Golden Times band, this truly is a celebration of music and memories, complete with over 50 stunning costume changes. 

With a patriotic stage set adorned with bunting and flags fit for the grandest street party, the atmosphere will be electric as the audience sings along to the unforgettable tunes.
